Belgian piano soloist Julien Libeer
Leonard Bernstein’s «West Side Story» is one of Brussels-born pianist Julien Libeer’s earliest musical memories. Today, he is as preoccupied with opera as with orchestral and chamber music, not to forget solo piano, where Libeer is in the top division.
Libeer has an impressive resume, despite barely being thirty. The Belgian pianist has studied with great artists, such as Daniel Blumenthal at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and Maria João Pires at the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel.
He has been awarded prestigious awards, such as the Juventus Award and Emmanuel Pahud’s caliber.
No average pianist – Julien Libeer goes into every concert setting with presence and passion. Expect a pianist who knows the art of pulling the audience into his sound world and keeping everyone in his grip throughout the concert.
